For the cast of Diarra from Detroit, the custom line jackets created with Zeus’ Closet became more than a wrapped gift. They became a symbol of unity, gratitude, and shared experience. It’s that intention that earned this project a place in the Stuff4GREEKS Jacket of the Year Contest.
The Inspiration: A Gift That Meant More
DomiNque's vision began with the cast.
She wanted to give her cast mates something meaningful. Something they could physically wear, but that would also deliver a true “wow” moment. As Season 2 of Diarra from Detroit includes an episode centered around Greeks and Masons, the idea naturally took shape: custom Greek-themed line jackets featuring their portraits and names.
But at the heart of the design was something deeper.
The jackets were meant to reflect unity, brotherhood, and sisterhood. The same bond formed through long filming hours, emotional moments, shared challenges, and unforgettable memories. That connection mirrors what the Greek family represents: standing together through it all.
The Vision: Storytelling Through Design
Each jacket was intentionally designed to celebrate the collective—not just the individual.
By combining Greek themes with character representation, their jackets honored both the story being told on screen and the real-life relationships behind the scenes. It was a creative way to say: We are in this together.
DomiNque knew the idea was bold, but she also knew it was possible.
Seeing that the cast of her favorite show, Atlanta, had previously received line jackets from Zeus’ Closet confirmed that her vision wasn’t far-fetched. It was achievable with the right partner.
