Spotlight Story - "Storm" Jacket

The Dream

It's hard enough for a person to create a jacket for their self, let alone someone else...talk about pressure! Never the less, Khalil's friend took on this challenge for Khalil.

Khalil says: "When I crossed, she had designed me an amazing line jacket in 2008 from S4G. Since my jacket was a huge hit everywhere, she would claim bragging rights to my jacket; which I had to hear for months."

Later, when Khalil's now sorority sister crossed, Khalil took that as the perfect opportunity to thank her friend and "one up" her with a stuff4GREEKS jacket of her own.

Khalil says: On our campus, S4G is known to be “Tom Ford” of high quality jackets for Greeks. Since I knew, I was going to put my all into this design, I only trusted S4G to execute my ideas. When you have a S4G jacket, people will turn heads and that's exactly what I wanted for her.

The Design

Khalil said "I must admit coming up with the idea was a lot of fun as I am an avid comic book geek."

Inspired by her friend's line name, Storm, Khalil carefully chose an image that captured the true power and force of the X-Men member. This was very important since Khalil felt her friend shared so many qualities with the comic book character.

Khalil said "...they both carry that essence of being strong, powerful, and intelligent while doing it all gracefully."

The Delivery

The end result was an embroidered masterpiece for Khalil's friend.

Khalil says: "When my friend received her jacket she was speechless for a while and was in shock. Then I have seen people literally stop and stare in awe of Storm...My friend is still receiving reactions from her jacket as people are memorized with it."
