Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and an advocate for the African American
community go hand in hand for Jazmyne. Though
some of her collegiate experiences were less than favorable, she didn’t want
that to stop her calling out the wrongs she viewed and endured. |
The DesignIn order to speak
against some of the negative stereotypes associated with BGLOs and the African-American
community, Jazmyne decided to make her jacket a walking protest. After doing
some research on our company, she knew we would be able to assist with her
goals. We took one of our stock images, and with Jazmyne’s input, created a design
that would embody the platforms she stood for. The women were styled to
resemble the women who marched before her in the 60s and 70s, as well as modern
day advocates. | ![]() |
The Delivery
Jazmyne hasn’t had the
opportunity to wear her jacket at her school, but she looks forward to being
able to shut the campus down.
